SELF-WINDING MOVEMENT

Each component of the Boetti is carefully crafted to fit its 67 different parts on 36mm and at the same time make sure the entire watch was is no thicker than 10mm. Opting for a self-winding automatic instead of a battery-driven quartz lead us to use a custom-made Self-winding Movement.

After thorough evaluation, research and prototyping we decided on the Myiota 8215. The combination of economical design and its reputation as being one of the most dependable automatic self-winding movements on the market made it the perfect movement to guarantee maximum performance at a reasonable price. 

SKELETON CASEBACK

The open skeleton case back (covered by scratch resistant sapphire Crystal) allows you to view the watch’s movement and get a glimpse into the very soul of the Boetti.

THE DETAILS

 

The Miyota 8215 is an non-hacking twenty-one jewel three-hand with date automatic wristwatch movement with a uni-directional winding system (left rotation) with an accuracy of -20 to +40 seconds per day, and a power reserve of over 40 hours. It allows hand winding. The date window is placed at the 3 o'clock position. The diameter of the movement is 26 mm and the thickness is 5.67 mm. It beats at 21,600 BPH or 3 Hz (6 half-cycles per second). The movement has a 49° lift angle.
